How Did it Come to This?
Listen Like Thieves are mainly an acoustic covers band, playing a wide range of songs and styles of music from the 1960s through to recent hits. Although we have a ‘folk’ style set up we play pop, rock, a bit of jazz... even Ed Sheeran. Take a look at our video page for examples of what we do.
Once upon a time, someone asked Craig (who was playing in a different band at the time) if their mate (JB) could get up and sing an Oasis song with them. Foolishly he agreed, unaware of what he was unleashing on the unsuspecting public of Stamford. However, the audience was too drunk to notice that the singer was actually quite good and splendidly entertaining. After starting off as a duet our glorious ambitions began to be realised when Adam and Rob joined in the fun, bringing a much needed sense of rhythm and coherent bass lines to the mix...
Many years of therapy (and a fair bit of practice) later we decided that there might be something in this, and Listen Like Thieves became more than the odd song at a mate's party. We are now available for bookings - just head on over to our contact page for details.
